EMDR
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a form of psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms
and emotional distress of disturbing life experiences. EMDR has been scientifically proven to facilitate healing
that would have taken years of regular psychotherapy to achieve. It involves bringing a traumatic memory to mind
as the client uses his/her eyes to track the therapist's hand as it moves back and forth across her/his field of
vision.

TRE (Trauma Release Exercises)
TRE® (Tension, Stress & Trauma Release Exercise) is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing
deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE® safely activates
a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension and calms the nervous system. When
this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged
to return back to a state of balance. After doing TRE®, many people report feelings of peace and well-being.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga
A trauma-sensitive yoga practice can increase connection with the breath, enabling the brain to become less aroused, and
relaxation to begin. Yoga can rebuild connections with both the insula and prefrontal cortex, strengthening the mind-body
connection. The practice can help a student regain a sense of control and ownership over her/his body and own experience.
